Planning contextual inputs

- [Narrator] To determine if the goal for a prototype will be to demonstrate the effects of solar insulation on a catenary shell structure, letting the amount of light or the year determine which of three possible panels will be used for each location on the catenary shell. We now need to set up out inputs, which can roughly be divided into two categories. Contextual inputs, which are uncontrolled, and the parameters, controlled inputs that define the design. In this video, we walk through setting up the contextual inputs. Our prototype is simulating the effects of the sun so you want to include factors that impact sunlight in our inputs. This includes the angle of the sun, and the surrounding buildings which may cast shadows. I have the exercise file open in grasshopper. I can see in the right hand side we've already set up our outputs. I'm going to hide these. If you go to the left side, I have a Brep component that's importing four polysurfaces.
