- [Instructor] Once you determine the inputs and outputs, you should be able to plan the sequence of transformations within your script. As you are planning, you can diagram the process by sketching or diagram write grasshopper. In our process diagram, we're starting with some design inputs for the catenary structure as mesh objects, the context building as polysurfaces, and the context angle of the sun as a vector. We know that our outputs are the panel types, panel visualization, and panel areas. So lets plan what needs to happen in between. First, we need to get the catenary mesh from the kangaroo solver output. Next, we need to calculate the intersection between the sun direction and the context buildings, the shadow. Then we need to calculate what parts of the catenary mesh are in that shadow. Finally, we need the output, the total installation results for each mesh phase. You can use a diagram like this to build your script. Or actually add the diagram directly to grasshopper…
