- [Instructor] The basic structure of every Grasshopper definition is the input, then all the transformations, and then the output. We are starting to plan this script by asking ourselves what questions we need to answer with this prototype. To be effective, the output must answer those questions. For this exercise, let's imagine that we are developing a catenary shell structure, but we want to cover it with panels that may allow light through, grow plants, or generate electricity. We want to see which parts of the structure would be appropriate for each function based on solar insulation or the amount of light hitting the panel on a particular site. So let's break this problem down into questions. Question one, for any potential catenary form, which panels are appropriate for which function? Question two, what would the forms look like with those panels? And question three, how much energy and food would those panels actually generate? If we convert these questions into outputs for…
