- [Instructor] I have my exercise file open already. We're in the process of building out our generative design model and we're closing in on the final steps. We've set up our site, our sine wave surface. We've created a roof from the sine wave and the site. We've calculates sides and views and used those to determine a fitness value to optimize the roof. We've laid out a structure and we've set up some roof paneling. Now we're actually going to create our structural system based on the layout that we've already set up. The challenge is to create a system that can be responsive to different geometries of roofs. Depending on the evolutionary solution, the shape of this roof can change dramatically. So, we're going to use a nesting approach. We're going to use the regions that we've created for the structure and build an actual structure that nests within as it moves up.
