- [Instructor] The Grasshopper Forum is a tremendous resource, but this user-driven content usually requires some updating and cleanup to make it useful. In this video, we'll walk through the process of updating old components, typically found in older scripts shared on the internet. You should now be able to open the actual-sized file without launch error messages. When you zoom in, though, you will see many of the components have little old icons on top of them. This means the component has been updated in Grasshopper since the script was made. Some old components can be replaced automatically by Grasshopper, because the replacement will not change the solution. To upgrade automatically, go to Solution, click on Upgrade Components, and you'll see a list of the components in your script that can be updated automatically. Before you run the upgrade it's recommended that you save your file, though I've never had a problem with the upgrade process. Other components, though, need to be…
