Unfolding/unrolling transform geometry

- Hello and welcome. I have my exercise file open already. In a previous video, we set up a custom unroller component, that unfolds or unrolls surfaces, using the built-in unroller functionality within RhinoCommon. In this video, we're going to extend and customize the component. Taking advantage of the fact that we've set up our own custom version. In the script, I've also added a box. So this is this box floating above the 3D surface, that it hasn't been unrolled yet. I'm extracting the points from the box, and then I'm rebuilding the box over here. So we're going to take those points, the corners of the box. We're going to map them onto the folded, or three-dimensional surface. And then we're going to map the box onto the unrolled or unfolded surface. So first, let's add that capability within the custom component. I'm going to add an input and an output.
