- [Instructor] To get the most out of this course, you need to be familiar with Rhinoceros 3D modeling software, or Rhino for short. I'll also assume that you're familiar with basic concepts of 2D and 3D digital modeling. Rhino is a popular, versatile 3D modeling program, that works with curves, nerve surfaces and polygon meshes, and is great for a range of applications from rendering to modeling and even simple animations, but it's best known for producing accurate models of physical objects that eventually will be fabricated in real life, often through digital processes like 3D printing and CNC routing. Both Rhinoceros and its Grasshopper plugin , can run on macOS as well as Windows operating systems. And while it's not required, I do recommend that using a three-button mouse with a scroll wheel, for easier navigation in both Grasshopper and Rhino.
