Choosing NTSC/PAL recording standard

- When it comes to recording video, there are two important standards that you need to be familiar with, NTSC and PAL. NTSC is most commonly used in North America, Japan and certain other regions around the world. But the PAL format is, by far, more widely used globally. You're going to need to set up your video settings inside a GoPro so that it shoots with the correct standards for your country. Now, if you take a look at this map here, you'll be able to get a pretty good idea which region you're located in, and it will help you understand which setting to use. You also might be shooting footage though for somebody in another part of the country, or the world. So it's always important to check if they need NTSC or PAL if you're shooting footage to deliver to a client.
