Hyperlinks: The glue connecting the World Wide Web

- [Instructor] At the Webs Foundation lies the Hypertext Markup Language or HTML. Hypertext is a non-centralized type of text, or short bursts of texts direct the reader to more in-depth reading on a topic or to tell gentle references about the topic. Links are the heart of the web, if there were no links, how would you get from one page of your website to another? In this course, we'll look in detail at the humble link. We'll start by looking at the simple HTML required to link within a page, next we'll look at styling links with CSS. Finally we'll look at link maintenance, we'll also look at a few ways to manage linked redirects. And of course, we'll look at robots.txt, a way of determining what search engines index. So if you're ready let's get started with HTML and CSS linking.
