Masking in Toon Boom Harmony Essentials

- This is the technique for applying the very same effect where we mask the eye pupil inside the eye ball and this is the technique that you would use in Harmony Essentials and Harmony Advanced. So here's how we do it, let's just solo the layers that we want to see and zoom in a bit on them. So they recommend that you have a key frame on the layers that you're going to mask and be masked, so we'll do that. And what we want to do is to select the mask the layer that is to mask, that's the eyeball layer, right click, and go Clone Selected Layers, Drawings, and Timing. Select that, and I want this to be marked as a clone so let's get rid of that underscore one it doesn't tell us much, and go ".c" for clone. And so the next time I see that layer I'll know "oh! That's a clone layer. "What's it a clone layer of? "It's a clone layer of eyerightball." It's just a simple little pneumonic device, the next thing to do is to find the layer that you are going to mask. And that needs a cutter…
