Basic function question technique

- [Voiceover] Since the skill involved in function questions is distinct from normal reading comprehension questions, I would suggest that you think about them differently. So in this video, I'll describe my function question technique. So, let's look at this simple passage here that I wrote, and go ahead and read it if you haven't already, but I wanted to show you sort of how to break down each sentence in terms of trying to classify what each sentence is doing. So let's just go sentence by sentence here for practice. The first sentence, "The GRE is a test that has sections testing writing, reading, and mathematical ability.". So I would say that that is pretty much a fact, I don't think we can argue that. That's kind of like background information, so let's just call it fact for now. Look at the next sentence, "Some people argue..." Some people argue, well that seems to be an opinion for sure, and if we take a peek at the third sentence, "However, I...", notice that there's two…
