- [Voiceover] Having a method with which to answer reading comprehension questions is important, especially on test day when you'll have to deal with the time pressure and probably at least a little bit of anxiety. So in this video, I'll describe my basic step-by-step method for answering a reading comprehension question. So a quick note, in general, you'll probably read the passage before you look at a question, but I'll talk about an exception to that general rule in a later video concerning detail questions. So step one of the technique is to read the question and make sure you understand it. That might sound obvious, but having a clear understanding of what the question is asking is not always easy, nor will you always automatically remember what the question was saying. So take your time digesting what the question is saying and check back in with the question at least once in the process of answering it to make sure you don't misremember what it's asking.
