Difficult vocabulary in sentence equivalence

- [Voiceover] Like text completion questions, sentence equivalence questions sometimes are better skipped if you can't predict an idea for the blank or if you can't define enough of the answer choices, or both. But with sentence equivalence, you can sometimes use a trick to improve your odds of guessing correctly. The trick is picking two choices that are synonyms. So, here we have a sentence equivalence question that I wrote and I purposely tried to choose vocabulary that I thought was to some degree difficult. So, if we're looking at this thing, and assuming we know what we're looking for for the blank, and even if we don't actually, we can go to the choices and say, you know what, even if I'm totally clueless here, I'm going to try to pick two choices that mean the same thing, that are synonyms.
