- [Voiceover] So one of the most common questions I get as a tutor is how long will it take me to prepare for the GREs? To that I always answer, it depends on where you're starting and where you want to end up. So in this video, I explain how to set score goals for the test. So of everyone wants a high GRE score, but for some people, obtaining a high score may take a lot of work, maybe more work than they're really willing to put in. Getting a high score may take little or no work. It really depends on where a person is starting. However, having a really specific goal can motivate you and keep you on track. So for this reason, after you are a little bit more familiar with the test, perhaps after spending some time reading about the test on ets.org, it's a really good idea to take an official practice GRE. ETS has a free download on its site called POWERPREP 2. This is software that has two GRE practice tests that are essentially just like the real thing. You can install the software…
