- [Voiceover] Okay, this technique is called Find Patterns Technique because some GRE problems are going to take too long unless you see a pattern going on in the math. So in this video, I'll demonstrate a question involving a pattern that you can discover. So we have this problem that will probably take way too long to do if we ever just try to deal with it, What's the units digit of three to the 1000th? And if you don't remember what units digit is, like if I had a number like 36, the units digit would be six. It's kind of like the same thing as the one's digit. So, let's see, my advice here is to just start doing the problem, even if you think it's going to take too long, and then look and see if you've figured out a pattern. So, the way that we're going to do this is we're going to see what the units digits are, starting with three to the first. So, three to the first is three. Three to the second is nine.
