How the GRE test adapts to you

- [Voiceover] One of the interesting things about the GRE is that the test itself adapts to you depending on how well you do throughout the test. In this video, I'll explain how this adaptation works and what to expect from it. After you write the two GRE essays, the GRE wil present you with either a verbal or a math section. Unless that section happens to be the experimental section, the section will have questions that are mostly average in difficulty. By average in difficulty, I mean questions that about half of previous test takers answered correctly. Let's say that the first section you did was math and it wasn't experimental. The next real math section will have adapted to you based on how many questions you answered correctly on the first section. For example, let's say you only answered five questions correctly in the first math section. The next math section will have questions that are mostly easier than average.
