- [Voiceover] So, a few more exponent rules that you need to know, let's start with if I have the different bases, like two to the third times three to the third, raised to the same exponent. In this case, I get to just multiply the bases and the exponent remains the same. So, two to the third times three to the third is six to the third. Another example of an exponent rule that you should know, is let's say I had a fraction, like 3/4 raised to the second power, that's gonna be the same thing as taking the top of the fraction to that power over the denominator of that fraction to the power. Kinda the same thing as just writing it like three over four times three over four, so just another rule to look at. Another rule is multiplication of exponents with parentheses, so let's say I had x cubed to the fourth. If I have an expression with an exponent in parentheses, and then that is raised to a power, in this case, I multiply the exponents so this is gonna turn into x to the 12th. If I…
