- [Voiceover] In this video, I'll talk about how to multiply expressions. So a big thing for multiplying expressions that a lot of people might have forgotten is that if we have something that's squared, like if we have x plus two squared, the answer is not gonna be just x squared plus two squared. You have to do what we call FOIL, and FOIL is an acronym that stands for first, outer, inner, and last. So you don't have to FOIL just like that, but it's just a good way to remember it. So what I mean by that is if we have x plus two squared, we have to write it kind of like this if we want to multiply it as a better visual. So the way that we do it is we take the first term and we multiply it by the other first term. So x times x is x squared. Then we multiply the first term by the outer term, so x times two is positive two x. Now we multiply the inner term by the other inner term, that's another positive two x, and then the last term, two times two is plus four. Then we can combine these…
