Overview of SAT grammar questions

- In addition to the SAT Essay, the Writing portion of the SAT is going to include two Grammar sections, a 25-minute section and a 10-minute section. In this video, I'll give you an overview of the kinds of questions, and some of the grammar rules that you'll encounter on the test. So, the first thing you need to know about the Grammar section is knowing the rules is really the easiest way to improve. Again, my favorite resource for learning grammar rules is a book, called "The Ultimate Guide to SAT Grammar" by Erica Meltzer. Studying those grammar rules is really the best way to increase your skills on this section. So, the SAT Grammar sections as a whole will have three types of questions. The first type is what they call Improving Sentences. This is where you'll have to pick the best version of a sentence, and there'll be five choices.
