Periodical publications

- Periodicals come in many forms. Knowing what kind of information you need on your chosen topic will help you decide what type of periodical will provide the best information for your research. Periodicals are published on a regular basis, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, etcetera. Periodical publications include general magazines, scholarly journals, trade journals, and newspapers. Magazines, you're familiar with, and there are a lot of different types out there. From a researcher's point of view, you wanna keep in mind that magazines provide information several days, to weeks, after an event occurs. The authors of magazine articles can incorporate research and facts, but keep in mind that they're often writing using their own point of view, and for a specific purpose, so keep in mind that it's not always objective.
