- [Voiceover] In this video, I'll go over my checklist for making sure that you learned as much as you could from a GRE function question. Remember that review is where you learn the most about the test and how it works. So, first of all, was it a function question? Was it asking about a role of a part of a passage? Then, were you able to label the surrounding sentences or paragraphs? Did you come up with names for them? Did you recognize what they did? Were there any helpful signposts? Remember, a shift like however or but can signify a shift from others opinion to maybe an author's opinion or just a change in direction. Then, why are the incorrect answer choices wrong? How can you identify why each wrong answer choice is wrong? Figure it out if you don't immediately know. Then, do you understand all the terms in the answer choices? For example, concession is usually an admission by an author of a passage that the opposing viewpoint deserves a little bit of credit. If you see a word…
