- [Narrator] One of the most common formats of geometry will be exporting and importing in and out of Houdini between other applications is Alembic, which has obviously become the very industry standard file format for exchanging geometry. There's a number of ways we can import and export Alembic files in Houdini. We've looked at how to use an Alembic renderer rat within the set context before, when we rendered out an Alembic and wrote it back in, and now I'm going to show you how we can set up an Alembic output node within the output context of Houdini. So we're going to go to the output context. I'm going to hit TAB ale, and you can see we have an Alembic node that we can lay down. I'm going to call this again, very simple, just call this OBJECTS. Okay, and so what I'm going to do here, we can obviously render an animated Alembic, which is something we're often doing. Right now, I'm just output a still of an Alembic.
