Creating a new project

- Like many 3D packages, Houdini has a folder structure that they provide for you, that just helps keep everything organized and puts everything in its right place. And once you start building projects of increased complexity, you'll welcome the fact that there are specific locations for each of your projects where everything lives. And it just makes everything a lot easier to deal with, you don't have to worry about where anything is, and also that nothing breaks because everything is where it should be. So when we make a new Houdini file, we've just opened up Houdini, and it's obviously our untitled.hip here, what we can do is, under the File menu, we can say New Project. And this is a new feature in Houdini 14, this didn't used to exist, and they've kind of adopted this, and it's great. So we're gonna click on New Project. I'm gonna name the project, and I'm just gonna call this "test" for now. And then it's gonna automatically wanna put it in this particular place in your Home…
