Exporting alembic files
- [Voiceover] Now, that we have our simulation run, and we've applied the simulation to our high-res geometry, we're gonna go through the steps we need to go through to export this properly as an alembic file. And the process we're gonna use is we're gonna clean up the geometry, get rid of groups and attributes that we don't want, and then we're gonna pack it before sending it to the transform pieces. You can see with the low-res geometry, if I middle mouse click on transform pieces, it has 221 packed fragments, because those low-res pieces were packed before they were sent over to the dot network and that's how they remain. And so, what we wanna do is we wanna do the same thing with the high-res geometry. Right now, if we look at the transform pieces, too, I middle mouse click, you can see that we have unpacked geometry, we have 360,000 polygons. And if we don't pack that stuff first and we just spit it out as an alembic, what we're gonna basically do is export all of the geometry on…
