Importing our alembic file into Maya

- [Voiceover] We're gonna take a quick peak at our exported Alembic in Maya just so we can see how everything translates over properly in here. I'm gonna go up to the cache menu. Go Alembic cache, import Alembic. Go to the desktop. Exercise files chapter one. A b c. Core 01 a b c. We're gonna bring that in. First thing I'm gonna change the timeline to 600 frames here 'cause that's what we had. Gonna zoom in a little bit on our geometry and I'm gonna open the outliner in perspective view here. Panels, panel, outliner. Okay. So I'm gonna select our core one. First I'm gonna right click on it and then I'm gonna do assign existing material, lambert. And now you can see our color information has come over by default. It had no shading group assigned. It was that green and now you can see once you just assign this simple lambert that we can see the vertex colors. Let's go to a more interesting looking frame. Let's go to like frame 500. Cool, so now we can see our fun animated text sphere is…
