- [Instructor] Now we're going to take a look at area lights and these are very common lights that we use all the time to create really nice lighting effects. So I'll go up to my Area Light in my shelf up here, and I'll just lay that down. Okay, and so now, I'm going to hit Escape to go into my View mode, hit W to go into Wireframe now just so we can see what's going on here. You can see we have an area light that we've created. I'm going to drag that up next to my lighting subnet and hit the P key and again you can see that it's created the same light object but now our type is a grid instead of a point or a distant light. Okay, so we have a few things that we can contol in here that are unique too. I can control the area size. So for example I could make this 5-5, so I can now actually control the size of this light. And then I also have little toggle here to normalize light intensity to area. Because with an area light you can often make this really big and you don't have that…
