Particle system HDA in CINEMA 4D

- Houdini is well-known for having a really powerful particle tool set, and using HDAs, we can access that power inside of Cinema 4D. So I've built a basic particle-based HDA that I'm going to show you here in Cinema 4D. So we'll go to our pipeline menu, under Houdini Engine, we'll go Load Asset. We'll click on particles_01.hda, and load that in. I'm going to reframe up our scene a little bit. I'm going to change our timeline to 300 frames, so we have a little more time to simulate. I'm just going to hit Play. Zoom in a little bit, so we can see this a little bit better, and there we go, we've got particles being emitted from an object inside of Cinema 4D, but all that we see actually is being generated by this Houdini Engine and then sent over into Cinema 4D. So there's a few things I want to show you. First off, right now, that object, that little tube in the center is the emitter for the particles, and that was set up inside of Houdini, and that works well, but often we're going to…
