Refining smoke simulation

- [Narrator] Now that we have our initial smoke simulation framework built, we're going to start to do some tweaking, both to refine the simulation and also refine how we're viewing it in the view port. First off let's make sure I'm looking at smooth wire shaded mode and then I'm going to go to my highest quality lighting, the high quality lighting with shadows, and now I'm going to hit D over the view port to get my display options, and I want to go over to the texture tab here and you can see we have an option for 3D textures limit resolution, and this will basically limit the resolution of a voxel volume within your view port. And actually I often turn this off, because we have a lot of graphics RAM on our graphics cards now, in this modern era, and there could be certain situations where you'd want to limit this, but for a shot like this where we just have this one simulation, and we really want to focus on it looking good, I'm not going to worry about this.
