UV unwrap

- [Instructor] In this video we're going to take a look at how to do a basic UV unwrap of a hard surface object in Houdini. So I'm going to go into my model geometry object here, and at the end of our node chain we have this color one node, I'm going to right click on the output, I'm going to type "UV," and we get all our UV options. I'm going to choose "UV unwrap." All right, so I'm going to turn the display flag on that, and now in the viewport I'm going to hit spacebar five to get to the UV view. OK, and so now everything is purple because I had this color node that made everything purple, so I'm just going to disable that, so now we can see the UVs of our object. OK, and so this is just doing a typical six-plane UV unwrap. You can see I have some different options that will kind of, based on a different plane array, just do a little quick auto-UV unwrap of that. And then I could also change the spacing, so I could change this from two to .5 for example, and it would put the shells…
