Accessing a shared folder

- [Instructor] A common network resource is storage. It comes in the form of a shared folder on another network computer or file server. To access such storage open a file explorer window, press the Windows and E keyboard shortcut combination. And from the navigation pane choose Network. In the network window you see a list of network resources including computers, media devices, and other devices. The list may not be as extensive as the one shown here. In fact for a private network you probably won't see anything available. Shared folders are accessed from the computers and other devices, such as a network file server or other computer that happens to have shared folders made available. For example, I'll open the computer Farfalla, and here you see a prompt for access. For the shared folders on this system I must have an account and password on the target computer. And if I did, I could type my user name and password here and then I would be able to view the shared folders. Now I've…
