Mapping a network drive

- [Instructor] Windows drive lettering scheme comes in handy when you need to access a shared folder on another computer or network server. Rather than type the long, complicated path name you can assign that network path to a single drive letter. Here's how it works! Start by opening a File Explorer window, if you don't have such a window open, press the Windows + E keyboard shortcut, to bring one up, and choose This PC from the address bar. On the computer tab, choose Map network drive, Map network drive. Select the letter for the drive, only available letters appear and you want to pick something high so that the letter won't interfere with any other devices, drives, media or anything you might attach to the PC in the future. I want to map my vacation photos folder from another computer, so I'm gonna choose drive letter V. Now if any drives are already mapped you'll see them assigned a network path in this list but…
