Renaming a group of files

- [Instructor] To rename a file in Windows, I use the secret F2 keyboard shortcut. It's fast, especially because, well, you're using the keyboard anyway to type in a new file name. So with a file selected, you press the F2 key. You type in the new name. Press enter to lock it in. Easy. Now, what if you want to rename a swath of files? You can select each one and press F2 and rename and then select the next one and F2 and on and on, but this is a computer. Things have to be easier. Windows can rename a group of files but only by using a sequence of similar names. So you start by selecting the group, and then you press F2, or you can use any of the renaming commands found on the ribbon here in the home group. There's rename. There's probably other ones, as well. I'm going to press F2 and then type a group name, which is a prefix to be shared among all files in the group. I'm just going to use the boring name file…
