Rolling back an update

Rolling back an update: Help Yourself: Tech Tips Weekly
Rolling back an update: Help Yourself: Tech Tips Weekly

Dan Gookin reviews the steps necessary to roll back a system update. Learn about checking for recent Windows updates, and about how some Windows updates cannot be removed. If a problem occurs with a Windows update, it's likely the most recent update. The System Restore utility can also be used to roll back a recent update. If an update can't be rolled back, consider starting Windows in Safe Mode or in the Recovery Console to attempt the rollback again.
