Sharing a folder

- [Instructor] Say you and some colleagues are working on a project and you need to share resources, or perhaps you have a library full of silly sounds and you want others on the video editing team to access them, or maybe you're just feeling generous. The goal is to share a folder from your computer's local storage as a resource available to others on the network. As an example, this folder here contains some common files for a big project. I want my entire team to have access to this folder, so here's what I do to make it available on the network. First, visit the directory's parent, you must go up a notch to share the folder. Right-click on the folder to share, choose Properties, and click the Sharing tab. Avoid the misnamed Share button, but instead click on the Advanced Sharing button, and Share this folder. The Share name is how the folder appears to others in the network window when they open your computer's icon.…
