- [Instructor] Adding a full-size keyboard and mouse to your laptop is super easy. Attach the keyboard to a USB port. Attach the mouse to a USB port, or you can use wireless keyboards and mice. And if you do, be sure to get Bluetooth devices as most laptops come with a Bluetooth Radio. Otherwise, you may need to sacrifice a USB port for the wireless adapter. Attach the monitor to the display output port, which can be a different type of port depending on the laptop. So here are some common display output ports. There's HDMI, the DisplayPort, Thunderbolt, which is common on MacBooks, USB C and then the legacy ports DVI and VGA. Even with this variety, your laptop may need a converter to connect to a full-size monitor.
