Advanced crosswalks
- [Instructor] Now that you can see how to leverage Picklists for Crosswalks, let's talk about some advanced uses of Crosswalks. As you can see, Crosswalks can get pretty complex. In the last video, I showed you an example of Crosswalking disparate color systems for two different nail polish companies to a standard color ontology. We also saw examples of Crosswalking IDs. I showed you a simple example of updating old product IDs to new IDs, but then using a Crosswalk to facilitate analysis of historical data with the new data. And we looked at the Crosswalk between the HCUP Hospital and discharge data and the AHA linkage file that tunneled through the hosp ID to get to the AHA ID and eventually to the attributes served.
