Apply the basics of the Windows firewall

- [Instructor] To find the Windows Firewall, I'll click on the Windows button, Settings, Updates and Security, and Windows Security and I'll open Windows Security. This might be called the Windows Defender Security Center on your system. I'll select Firewall and Network protection. This shows three networks profiles: Domain network, Private network, and Public network. When we set up a new network on the computer, Windows will ask what type of network connection we want and configure the network settings accordingly. We can see the firewall is on and that we're connected as a private network. We're not connected to any public network, but I'll open the Public network and we can see the Public network settings. There's a radio button captioned Windows Defender Firewall and we can see it's on. When I click on that, the firewall is switched off and we're told that our system may be vulnerable.
