- [Instructor] Another way of protecting data is to make sure it's backed up. Important information should be stored in multiple places securely and updated periodically. This could mean keeping a copy of your active work in your Documents folder and in cloud storage. Or it could mean keeping a copy of your work updated periodically on removable media. Working in the cloud, as we do with tools like the cloud collaboration platforms from Microsoft and Google, or with file syncing services like Box and Dropbox helps to give us some redundancy, though it doesn't necessarily protect against accidental deletion. Some services offer a rollback feature, but others will just happily delete files in the cloud if you delete them from your computer.
