And in many cases, your favorite show was based on a book. So let's dig into the statistics of books. While historical sales of religious texts like the Koran and the Bible are estimated to be in the billions and some other religious texts and political manifestos are estimated to be in the hundreds of millions, the numbers are in fact just estimates, even classic books like Don Quixote and The Count of Monte Cristo lack reliable sales data.
