(bright music) - [Instructor] Let's do a quick challenge that tests password strength. We'll start with a little background. In 2017, the National Institute of Science and Technology, or NIST, published improved password guidelines. Now, some of the key changes include: you no longer have to have frequent password changes. Requiring frequent password changes has been proven to be counterproductive. And, complex rules are no longer needed such as upper and lower case letters, numbers, punctuation marks, and symbols. This is also demonstrated to be ineffective. So in this challenge, let's do a test. You're going to go to this website, howsecureismypassword.net.
