- [Instructor] Instead of cloud technicians having to manually check individual logs related to resources, looking for potential security incidents, instead we can configure alarms and notifications so that technicians get notified when something suspicious appears to be happening. There are many ways to do this and some cloud providers have services that will look for these types of threats but we're going to look at how we might do that manually by configuring alert notifications. Here in Microsoft Azure, if I were to go into a specific resource, let's say, go into my virtual machines view and open up a virtual machine. As I scroll down in the vast list of properties over on the left, under the monitoring section, I have alerts. And from here I could click the new alert rule button at the top to create an alert rule. For example, maybe to look for very busy CPU utilization which might be beyond what's normal which…
