- [Instructor] In a cloud computing environment, auditing can be used to investigate how the cloud environment, and its resources, are being used, and also to perhaps even audit or check into the configuration of items, to ensure they align with best practices. Here in the Microsoft Azure portal, I'm going to start by going into the virtual machines view, and opening up and existing virtual machine, where on the left, I'm going to scroll all the way down in its properties, down under the monitoring section, to where I can click on diagnostic settings. Now, what I've already done here is enable diagnostic logging. In order for an audit to be conducted properly over time, we need to be gathering or logging relevant information. And so here, in the diagnostic settings for this virtual machine, I could for instance, click on logs at the top, and I could specify, which in this case, Windows operating system logs that I want…
