- [Instructor] Public cloud providers often have automated tools that can analyze cloud resources and produce compliance reports that might be related to specific laws, regulations, or industry standard security practices. Let's start here in Microsoft Azure by looking at how we can configure Azure policy to look at compliance maybe to ensure that resources in the Azure cloud are configured in a secured manner. We get started here in the Azure portal, I'm going to search for policy at the top and then I'll click on policy. Here in policy over on the left I'm going to click Assignments. I want to create a policy assignment. So I'll choose the assign policy button. Now I can assign the policy to my entire subscription which flows down to all of my resources through Azure or I could specify a resource group within my subscription, which is a subset of resources in the subscription.
