- [Narrator] Commutes, getting to work, and then getting home, the ride is never stress-free. No matter how many calls you make, no matter how many podcasts or books you can tackle, no matter if it was by train, bus, car, or ferry, commutes could be filled with variability and sometimes with frustrating outcomes. But COVID-19 changed commutes for everyone. Some folks have now completely shifted to working from home. And those that still drive are experiencing very different types of commutes. "Harvard Business Review" contributors, led by Andrew Kun, performed a study of 1300 workers in the summer of 2020. Overall, respondents reported a decrease of 41 minutes per day in work commutes. How did this impact their days? While workers did not report working more, they did report that their workdays were a bit longer.
