- Hey everybody it's Mike Meyers welcoming you to Cert Prep 5, Troubleshooting Operating Systems. This is the fifth of eight courses which collectively will help you pass the CompTIA A+ Core 2 220 1002 exam. So when it comes to troubleshooting operating systems, I'm your guy because, well, I troubleshoot a lot of operating systems. So in this course we're going to be concentrating mainly on Windows more than anything else. In particular, things like the Windows Recovery Environment, advanced startup options at boot, and then we're going to be going through and taking kind of a what I call a holistic view of Windows troubleshooting. Boot issues versus issues once you're booted up and then break it down into the individual applications. We're going to take this so far down that even things like the scary blue screen of death will be something you'll understand. Now if you're following along with my popular McGraw-Hill A+ book, you might want to watch Chapter 16.
