- [Instructor] When you're connecting to VPN from a mobile device, there are a few things to be aware of. Mobile operating systems offer configuration settings for setting up VPNs and they also support having those settings added through configuration profiles or through third party apps. You'll find on device settings for some protocols, like L2TP over IPsec, and IKEv2. For OpenVPN connections, though, you'll need to download a third party client. When you configure your connection, you'll need the server information and any credentials, shared secrets, and certificates that might be required. One point that can be a little tricky is getting certificate files onto the device. While secrets and passwords can be typed in fairly easily, certificates can't be, and so there needs to be another method for getting them to the device.
