- [Woman] As we explore the COVID-19 dashboards. We've seen that working with large and complex dataset require us to be more meticulous than ever. To make sure we don't miss a note or remark or an asterisk that can lead us to misinterpreting information that has been shown to us, whether it be in visualization, a metric or report. We also need to do our due diligence and look for inconsistencies, gaps, ask questions and make sure that we understand the methodology that was used to be able to process the data. The need to be thorough in our investigation of data was evidenced in the COVID-19 dashboard at John Hopkins University. When looking at the data sources, we could see that some of the sources that have previously been cited, were no longer being relied upon, but once we remove those from the list, the remaining sources also listed John Hopkins as their source.
