- Is it worth your time to write a cover letter for a remote data science role? The truth is not always clear but there's some telltale signs of when you should and shouldn't write a cover letter. In this video, I will share some tips of when to write a cover letter and how you can make your cover letter shine. The first thing to know is whether or not you should actually write a cover letter. The simplest case is when an employer specifically says they accept or do not accept a cover letter. If there's nothing referencing a cover letter and a job description or application and there's no place to attach one, then don't attach a cover letter.
