Creating a mirrored volume

- [Presenter] When you create a mirror volume, you have two separate storage devices that share the same data. Both storage devices appear as a single volume in Windows. This redundancy allows for reliable data storage. Should something happen to one volume, the duplicate retains the information. To create a mirrored volume, you need to separate physical storage media. They cannot be removable drives. The media can be any size though equal capacity works best. The mirrored volume can be only as large as the smaller of the two drives. Mirrored volumes are managed by Windows but you can create them yourself. This system lacks internal expansion options. So I'm demonstrating the mirroring technique on external removable drives D and E. This operation will ultimately fail though you can see the process.
