- Before we can understand how the dashboard works, or how well is representing the data from COVID-19. We first need to think about what are the different components that are used to comprise a dashboard, how does it work, what do we use, and how do we represent the information? In particular, a dashboard comprised of data, metrics, visualizations and the technology. The data for the purposes of this course will be the COVID-19 data sets that are available publicly. Metrics represent any calculation or measurement that we're going to use to evaluate that data. Visualization is the chart or graph that's created using either the metric or data. And of course, technology is how we interact with the visualization, the metrics and the data.
